Astros try to sweep Cards
The Astros, winners of eight of their last 10 games, will send Nelson Figueroa (3-2, 2.77 ERA) to the mound to face Jeff Suppan (1-6, 5.72) this afternoon at Minute Maid Park in an attempt to sweep the Cardinals. Jeff Keppinger has been activated and is in the lineup. Newcomers Matt Downs (No. 16), Brian Esposito (No. 41), Brian Bogusevic (No. 19), Henry Villar (No. 56) and Wesley Wright (No. 53) have joined the team as September callups.

WHY IS BLUM AT SHORT TODAY!!!!!!!!! He can’t play short
very well, and the Astros NEED Manzella’s range and
his cannon of an arm!! I do NOT get this! The Cards are
gonna be gunning for the astros today….don’t give then an
excuse to win! TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!
