Astros trying to reverse history at No. 11

The Astros will pick No. 11 overall in tonight’s First-Year Player Draft, and the history of the picks that have gone 11th through the years is underwhelming. Here are the players taken No. 11 overall since 1990. See if you recognize any of these names:

4 of last seven are making an impact at ML level for their current teams – that’s a bad thing?

History isn’t the most important thing on draft day (lol).

Justin Smoak is pretty good, Andrew Mccutchen is really good, Max Scherzer is pretty good, and a few others were ok. The entire baseball draft is like that no matter what pick it is. If he has anywhere near Mccutchen speed with Smoak power that would be cool.
